There was a man who worked as a Programmer in a large corporation. He was having some problems at his work & he could assume that He'd get fired. So the programmer coded a little program which added a subroutine to another running process. The subroutine was added to a program that ran once a month and was designed to scan the company's human resources employee database. As long as the Programmer's information was in the database, the virus did nothing. But one month when he got fired & his information entry was missing, the virus showed it magic & wiped out the entire system by deleting all files on the disk drives.
